Our Ministry Dreams To Be Realized...
  • Venezuelan National Church Blessing
  • Cultural understanding
  • Church Planting & growth strategies
  • Favor with the Deaf community
  • Youth Ministry Training

Venezuelan National Church:
Our first priority is to be completely in compliance and in the
blessings of the Venezuelan Assemblies of God.  First term we will
be based out of Caracas.  We want our Venezuelan ministry to
always be marked by their blessings and us operating in their
national vision.  I like to think of us as Aaron and Hur holding up
Moses' hands or as Joseph, a dreamer to help the national
leadership.

Cross-cultural understanding:
Just as Paul took the time to walk through the statues of the
Athenians on Mars Hill in Acts 17, we will do something similar.
Venezuela is extremely culturally diverse: from indigenous jungle
tribes in the rain forest to wealthy urban oil families to Caribbean
shoreline towns. We do not want to ineffectively preach an American
Gospel; we want to preach
the Gospel, in the way that is clear to the
Venezuelans.

Church Planting and Growth Strategies
We desire to serve Venezuelan A/G churches by being a
Pentecostal inspiration.  Some established churches are defeated
by routine and lost vision.  Our vision is to aide them with creativity
in the burning desire of Jesus for the lost.  We dream to retool
evangelism models for a changing age genre and sharpen
leadership capabilities with practical assistance and training
opportunities.  We dream to introduce an Annual Church Planter's
Boot Camp.

Youth Ministry Training
In Chris' 2005 visit, the only difference he noted between
Venezuelan teens and American is language and diet.  Many urban
Venezuelan youth are as much postmodernized as the American
teens.  The national churches are in desperate need of youth
ministry training at all leadership levels in the way of strategy, long-
term vision development and age-specific needs.  We dream to be a
part of harnessing an unused catalyst - 50% of the population!

Communicating with the Venezuelan Deaf
There is a deaf population of over 1 million.  Angela, who has great
fluency in ASL, (American Sign Language), will become a student of
LSV, (Venezuelan Sign Language) during our first term.  We are
begging heaven for these souls.  Our burden is to build
relationships, creatively evangelize, and help to establish deaf
churches. Our dream is to begin a Bible school and language
institute to equip Deaf-ministers to be released in their calling and
educate with linguistics for philanthropic continuity.
